The YouTube turtorials for the depth mapping actually were pretty easy to follow. The shortcuts that he gave for creating a new layer with the selection on it were super helpfull and I will be using them again. I placed the focus on the ground the buffalo was standing on so the foreground would be blurry as well as the background. Then I selected the buffalo and turned it back following the directions.
Overall, I think the photo is nice but not quite realistic. I partially blame the original photo which looked kind of like a painting to me with all the fall colors and shadows.
